The Summer Hikaru Died is preparing to air the “shocking” seventh episode worldwide. Ahead of this broadcast, the anime’s social media channels have unveiled a new story visual, hinting at the events to come for the series.
Before this, a new series has been launched on Kadokawa Anime’s YouTube channel: The Making of The Summer Hikaru Died. The first episode, simply titled “Horror,” includes interviews with the anime’s creators who discuss how to bring the chilling series to life and create genuine fear.

The series topped Kono Manga ga Sugoi!’s male reader list in 2023, and was also ranked/nominated for the Manga Taisho Award, the Tsutaya Comic Award, the Eisner Award, and a Next Manga Award.
